Patiently and with an acute meticulous style, he uses his signature process  of building hair up in thickness and fullness with the piece by piece addition of each custom couture filler.  The seamless application process is carefully executed, after which the hair is cut and styled just like one’s own natural hair.

Angelo employs 1 to 20 different types of Couture extensions. No cookie cutter stuff for this talented hair expert who customizes the client’s hair the same way that Vera Wang designs a wedding dress, personally and crafted to each individual lifestyle.

Angelo making model manes

Glam hair, red carpet hair, whatever your dream hair, there is not much that Angelo and his team of twenty trained stylists cannot do.   Whether you want to go from short to long, thin to thick, or just get your sexy back, hair extensions, when done correctly, can be your best kept secret.

The look of flawless and genuine hair is achieved with Angelo David’s trademarked Angelo David Couture Hair Extensions and Additions (couture extensions for length; additions and fillers for fuller, thicker hair; fringe for bangs or hairline correction; and wigs) a collection of customizable, 100-percent genuine tresses.  Angelo will first talk with you in one of the salon’s private consultation rooms and discuss your day to day routine, analyze your locks and create a look that will blend seamlessly into your own individual lifestyle.

Voila!

Angelo is committed to working with hair extensions so it looks like your own hair.  From visible adhesives to an unnatural finish, without expert selection, application and care, extensions will fail to achieve the desired, stylishly flawless look.

Three Women Walk into a Salon and Leave Looking Like a Million Dollars

Three pretty women  walked  into a New York salon the other day and left  looking like a million dollars. An episode of “Sex and the City”?   Not quite.  But I could see Carrie and girls there.

The transformation took place at Alma G. Salon in NYC’s Flatiron district. Ourr heroines are pretty close in profile to the sexy and talented gals from the show that defined what it means to be feminine, feisty and fashionable in the most glamorous city on the planet.

If you can makeover here like the one these three beauties received from Alma G and her talented team of stylists, well you can take it anywhere!

Here we go: Angie Bolivar,

Angie

a petite brunette law student currently interning with a law firm in New Jersey, a makeover that was pretty drastic in its scope with a result that was nothing less than cutting edge chic. Angie arrived at Alma’s salon early in the day to consult with the team about the direction she was open to going in.

Angie befoe

Alma described her vision to Angie with her trademark confidence and passion for what she sees as the beauty in the raw that her talents can draw out of an individual. Angie at first seemed very hesitant to commit to this radical change because she justifiably was concerned about the conservative nature of her profession. Alma wanted to take Angie’s look to the extreme with an asymmetrical cut and a shock of vivid blue color. Angie’s hesitation was completely erased by Alma’s assurances that the result would highlight and help define her already gorgeous cheekbones and bring out her inner gamine.

Meet Meridith–

Meridith

a lithe and lovely  dance instructor from NY’s  Upper West Side, Meridith was committed to keeping her hair long and was reluctant to lose more than a couple of inches of dry split ends. She too couldn’t resist the  team’s charm. An voila, her brunette locks were changed into  lustrous honey blonde and sunny highlights that brought out her gorgeous eye color and enhanced her rich skin tone.

Meridith is a natural beauty but the make over made her even more stunning

A  manicure with hand painted floral detail by the patient and methodical manicurist Maritza completed Merdith’s transformation from beachy frizz and chipped nails to well tended glamour goddess.

Tammy

And for our youngest transformed lovely we have the sexy Tamy Cruz, a recent high school graduate with plans to attend college this fall to study Marine Biology.   She walked into Alma’s salon defiant to keep her tresses long. She quickly also succumbed to the will and artistry of the woman who knows what is best for personal beauty statements and now sports a super sexy. Alma’s team is very tight knit that aspire to artistic beauty.

PR Between a Hard Rock and a Hotel

From the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California

So the Divaonthego went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California today to learn all about the namesake hotels.

The PR firm was there as was Michael C. Shindler, exec. vp and Blake smith, global music and marketing mgr.
They did a slide presentation but basically told us little about the hotels (and no press kits were provided either), save that the group was expanding, economy willing, to Budapest and beyond. It’s actually in Bali and London and places you wouldn’t expect.
Blake mentioned some hush hush free music amenities will be added to the already in place perks guests get at the front desk during check-in. But he couldn’t divulge except to say if we went to the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel we might catch a hint or two.
Hmmmm, we did get swag, a very large black Hard Rock robe that would go around me three times and maybe more.
Hey I’m not complaining, just would have like a press kit and more info to report about on my LA Travel Diva Examiner page.
I did get cool photos, though of the Cafe

New Luscious Lipstick Launches at the Plaza with Rachel Zoe Presiding

Luscious lips Exude

Your Diva on the go was invited to an exclusive launch of a new lipstick called Exude, that was presided over, at the swank Edwardian Room of the Plaza Hotel, by none other than super woman of all trades, Rachel Zoe.

In lieu of jetting across country, I sent my NY associate Linda Covello (www.lindacovellophotography.com) to cover  it. Here’s her report and fine photos:

Pro makeup artists, beauty journalists and Zoe mill around the Edwardian Room

The NY Plaza's Edwardian Room set the stage for Rachel Zoe and Exude

It was a real scene at the Edwardian Room during

the debut of this revolutionary lipstick that comes with  a crystal applicator which will retain its shape over time, so women will never have to worry about their lipstick wearing down, melting or crumbling.

That queen of chic, Rachel Zoe, style expert par excellence, gave her nod to Exude before a select group of press in the glamorous setting while scrumptious macaroons and champagne went the rounds.

A handful of professional makeup artists were in attendance to demonstrate the application and explain the longevity of the colors to the beauty elite. The line consists of lip crème which is available in 9 colors, including a gorgeous nude color which was tucked inside the gift bag, as well as lip gloss in 5 colors. The clever applicator is shaped like a traditional lipstick, but the color is pumped through a small hole in the top and this is what keeps your lipstick ever camera ready. The exceptional formula, which is enhanced with a smooth hint of mint scent, is lightweight, comfortable and moisturizing.

The swag bag

Exude Lipstick will be offered exclusively at www.exudelipstick.com starting in August 2011 with Rachel Zoe as its brand ambassador.
