Where will the Diva go in 2012?

The Diva on the go has a full plate for the New Year beginning with a glorious cruise on the spiffy Seabourn Sojourn from Fort Lauderdale to Monte Carlo. She’ll be reporting back on this blog as well as at:  http://www.examiner.com/cruise-88-in-national/patti-pietschmann as well as http://www.examiner.com/travel–diva-in-los-angeles/patti-pietschmann, so if you enjoy my writing check out both those sites and come back here to learn more about where a Diva goes.

In the meantime I want to wish a Happy and healthy New Year to all.

Pray for peace and be kind and generous to each other.

B-ring it on for New Year’s Eve with the “Hot Box”

B-ring it on for New Year’s with a fine bottle of champagne (the Diva prefers Cristal, and perhaps a feisty red like Merryvale Cab) along with a special boxed meal from San Francisco’s  Fork and Spoon

The newest “Hot Box” is typicallya Valentine’s Day favorite, but they are packaging a special one  for NYE filled to the brim with a feast any classic food lover will crave.

Your “Madman-esque” dinner for two includes: House-Spiced Nuts; Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Sauce Remoulade; The Wedge Salad with Radish, Bacon, Pickled Carrots and Rogue River Blue Cheese Dressing; 12 oz. Beef Wellington with Chanterelle Mushroom Duxelles and Himalyan Black Truffle Cream Sauce; Classic Creamed Spinach with a Touch of Horseradish; Pomme Duchess Potatoes; and, Individual Chocolate Lave Cakes with Preserved Cherry Compote.

If that isn’t enough to ring in the New Year in Style, the box will also include poppers and noise makers, just to make sure when you watch the ball drop, they can hear you! Just heat up a few things and you are ready to celebrate. Cost is $195 plus tax for two and it must be ordered by 12/28 at 4 PM.

Pick up your Hot Box and Fork and Spoon Productions (“www.forkandspoonproductions.com“) , 2161 3rd Street, SF Limited Supply. Order now by calling 415-552-7130.

Fabulous Zoomer Fins for snorkelers on your list

These fins rock, so light, easy to pack and fit like a glove. Best fins I ever had, you and anyone on your Christmas gift list will dive for them.

FINIS, a world leader in technical swimming products that maximize your fitness potential and technique, announces the immediate availability of Zoomers® Fit Swim Fins, swim fins that encourage easy propulsion and active legs while you swim.
Comfortable and lightweight, these fitness fins use a Surflex material that floats the legs for an ideal body position. The fitness-oriented fins use patented Zoomers® technology to generate easy propulsion in the water so that you can increase leg strength while making swimming easier.
Available in multiple sizes for a custom fit, these encouraging swim fins are available now for $27.99 at www.FINISinc.com/zoomers-fit/.
“As a fitness swimmer it’s very important to have the correct body position during your workout to prevent muscle injury and to maximize your workout potential,” says John Mix, President of FINIS. “Our new Zoomers® Fit fins are the softest of our fins and provide a swimmer with a tool that will improve their overall swim technique and results.”
The Zoomer® Fit feature a closed-heel design which creates a soft and secure fit, and a short blade construction that promotes a shorter and faster kick specific to swimming. By being buoyant, the Zoomers® Fit encourages an elevated body position to keep the legs active during your swim. The Flex Box on the underside of the fins will catch water during the up-kick, targeting and strengthening the hamstrings and glutes.
