Friends raved about the little theater productions they’ve been attending in Los Angeles. So much so my husband and I went on line and checked out the offerings. Both fans of film noir and parody we agreed on a play called Kill Me, Deadly.
The film noir spoof was amazingly well staged, wildly entertaining and left us hungering for more. I was wowed by actress Kirsten Vangsness’s (fresh from my favorite CBS Criminal Minds, where she plays a wacky but brilliant FBI researcher) portrayal of Mona, a wily, winsome murderess. But the entire cast held their own in this clever spoof.

We’re planning to attend more plays at the Theatre of Note as well as some of the other small LA playhouses like: “The Lounge Theater, the loungetheatre.com, and Cavern Club Theatre in Los Feliz (www.cavernclubtheatre.com) and others.
